Life Hack - one time DBS/POSB transfer

It is quite common to owe monies to your friends, especially after a friend outing.

The most convenient way for paying (other than cash) is through internet banking. "Adding new recipient" for each friend can be a pain if you have multiples payment to make.

Here is the catch. Do you know you can make transfers monies without adding your friend as a new recipient?

It is easy to do and can save you much time.

For those who have not explored this function, here's how you do it.

For POSB/DBS iBanking :

- After logging in, hover over "Transfer" and click on "To other DBS or POSB Account (One-Time)

- Key in the details of your transfer and click "Submit"

- DBS will prompt for the iB Secure PIN, just key the PIN from your iB Secure Device

- Transaction completed

In case you are wondering if the i Banking of the other banks can do this. Unfortunately to my knowledge, only DBS/POSB iBanking user has this function.
