Both of you deserve a better relationship

All of us are in a relationship one way or other. Some of us have fufilling relationships, some have destructive ones.

For this post, I would like to share some thoughts and experience on how to better or maintain a relationship.

What I’ve observed with the rise of the Internet and mobile tech, many people, I am also guilty, are obsessed with their phones and are unable to appreciate and be interested in who is physically there wth them.

I've seen a lady sitting pretty, a nice bouquet of flowers on her hands, with a gentleman, only to be talking to her partner with his eyes glued to the screen.

It might be a one-off incident, but I'm pretty sure the relationship is going to last as long as the flowers. (I'm kidding)

The point is, to have a good relationship, the foundation requires you to be interested & be a good listener.

To be interested means to genuinely care about the person. Devote your full attention and be in their space.

1 good tip – ask the person how’s your day.

Don't interrupt, let them share their thoughts and opinions.

And by listening, I mean with your full attention, not multitasking.

Multitasking simply shows that the person isn’t important enough for your full attention and it’s plain disrespectful.

TLDR: Be genuinely interested in your partner and to Listen without interruption.

I understand that there are many relationship experts out there and please share your experience and advice with us!

Stay awesome
